Robert Read - About Me

I began my career in the property industry in the mid 1980's, working for various commercial property broker agencies before establishing my own successful agency business, progressing to commercial and residential property development in the mid 1990's.  During the early part of the 2000's I became increasingly drawn to a change in career, eventually taking the plunge in 2005 and indulging my long held passion for photography.

My professional photographic career began by establishing Freeze Frame Images Ltd to offer bespoke commercial commissions, stock photography and my own image library www.freezeframeimages.co.uk.   Fuelled by a passion for landscape and other forms of fine art photography, and having studied the variable quality of other "fine art" imagery available, I felt drawn to offer a selection of my work in this area as limited edition fine art prints and canvas blocks.  Hence establishing this site to promote my work.

As this area of my business grows, I have also developed a small range of blank greetings cards with a selection of some of my images, available in a stylish gift pack folders.  I have plans to extend the range of stationary to include notebooks, calendars, bookmarks, etc.

I also have plans during 2008 to offer a specialised portrait service to offer a more personalised and unique style of capturing that personality, with emphasis on intimacy and individual character.

I am married with two young children and live a few miles outside of Reading in Berkshire.  When not working (far too infrequent these days!) or spending time with my family, I like nothing more than putting on my walking boots and exploring the great landscapes this country has to offer (with my camera of course!).

I am a member of the Bureau of Freelance Photographers (BFP)
